1. Call from a new client — They want a quote for a project (e.g. deck rebuild). You head to the site.
2. On-site, on phone — Take measurements. Open CRM PME on your phone, create the quote (DEV-YYYY-NNNN) with materials + labor + GST/QST. Send for signature.
3. Signature on the spot — The client opens the email and signs on their phone right there. Quote status → "Signed".
4. Convert to invoice — 1-click conversion: quote → invoice (FAC-YYYY-NNNN) with a Stripe payment link. Emailed.

Field work — common questions
Does it really work from a phone on a job site?
Yes. The entire app is responsive: create a quote, send for signature, convert to invoice, see paid status — all from your phone with one hand. Tested daily by contractors in Sherbrooke and Quebec City.
Can clients sign a quote without an account?
Yes. They get a unique 256-bit link by email, tap their finger on the screen, done. No download, no app install, no password. Designed for one-handed mobile signing.
How does NEQ / RBQ tracking work?
Native fields on Company: NEQ (numéro d'entreprise du Québec) and RBQ (Régie du bâtiment du Québec) license number. Validated format, searchable in the global search, displayed on quotes and invoices when relevant.
Can I take a deposit before starting work?
Yes. Create a quote with a deposit line (50%, 30%, whatever), convert to invoice, send the Stripe link. Once paid, start work. Balance invoice on completion, same Stripe link pattern.
What about the customer who pays cash on site?
Mark the invoice as paid manually with method = "cash". The system records the date, optionally the receipt number. No need to involve Stripe.
How do auto-reminders work for late payments?
Three reminders leave on their own: J+7, J+15 and J+30. Each one is a real email to the client, but also a task in your task list with the contact, the amount and the days late. Most late payments resolve before J+30. The J+60 formal demand is written and ready but never sends itself — a formal demand carries legal weight in Québec, so you trigger it deliberately.
Can I attach photos to a job?
Yes. Each deal/quote/invoice supports attached files. Take a photo with your phone, upload, it's stored privately (not public URL). Useful for before/after, damage reports, completion proof.
Do you connect to QuickBooks?
Yes. Two-way sync: contacts, companies, invoices, payments push to QuickBooks automatically. Your bookkeeper sees the same data in QB. Webhook for changes the other direction.
